LAIKS DEJOT 2021

The 2021 festival focused on the theme "South", the final part of a three-year concept cycle, highlighting contemporary dance artists from the Balkan region.

• The festival opened on 18 June in Ventspils with a contemporary dance residency in collaboration with Jūras vārti theatre, featuring educational and artistic programming by Latvian and Slovenian artists.

• Events in Riga took place 19–22 June at:

  • Eduards Smiļģis Theatre Museum

  • Contemporary Art Centre Noass

  • AB Dam

  • Space “Podi un podi”

Most performances and masterclasses were held outdoors. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masterclasses were limited to professionals, with limited capacity.
